First Hand-painted Pro-spun Yarn

The yarn made from last year’s clip came back not too long ago.  After putting the final touches on the “dye house”, I started vat dyeing and painting the first cones.  Breaking the cones into skeins and then soaking, dyeing, painting, steaming, rinsing, and re-skeining was time consuming, but enjoyable.  Reminded me of the years I spent working as a production potter…. without the stress to my hands.
