I get serious about my fiber beasties. I LOVE my sheep and goats. I have loved having Angora goats for many years, and finally decided to try fleece sheep. After experimenting with other breeds, I am totally sold on the Finnish Landrace sheep. Their fleece is “to die for”. Lusterous, crimpy, long, it is a blast to spin! Blending it with the mohair is even better. Very compatible. And the personalities of these sheep….. while not as quirky as the goats (nothing is a quirky as goats), they are absolutely adorable. Brave and kind, good mothers. Nothing makes me happier than watching them graze in the pasture. When I’m having a tough day, my husband knows to let me do chores as it calms me down 100%.
